Following my Icelandic Beauty Secrets blog, I didn't expect so many of you to read it and ask me questions, I loved that and it persuaded me to continue with blogging, especially when travelling! I love to travel and prepare my beauty bag carefully depending on the location.

I went for a super crazy holiday with my cousins to Las Vegas at the end of March and had an amazing time. I hope this post helps with anyone who hasn't travelled to Vegas before, or helps to prepare you for which beauty essentials you need.

Beauty Tips

Water is essential

I have included water under beauty tips because we should all consider water as an essential in our daily beauty regimes, I cannot go a day without drinking a few bottles of water. It's easy to forget that Vegas is in the desert, and with this in mind, I can't even begin to tell you how dry the air was. I was so dehydrated and was going through litres of bottles and it wasn't even peak season! Water is expensive in hotels, so head over to Walmart when you arrive and purchase some packs of water to keep in your hotel room. If your going to party hard then water is a no brainer. I fell ill towards the end of the holiday and I think the meat, alcohol and hot to cold temperature didn't help, I should have stayed more hydrated.

Percy & Reed Magnificent Moisture Mini Marvels

Dry air and dust means dry hair! This Percy & Reed Moisture travel pack is a must-have when travelling. Firstly, the Shampoo and Conditioner keeps your hair feeling healthy, especially when coming in and out of the pool. It also includes a dry oil that is perfect to take in your bag to keep your hair smooth and sleek for those insta-worthy pictures. Finally, it also includes a mini hair spray - what a winner!

MAC Prep & Prime BB Beauty Balm SPF 35

I think BB creams are fantastic and I never go without it when travelling, especially to hot locations. SPF is a MUST and I will only wear a minimum of SPF 30. FYI, if you think you won't tan due to a high SPF, it's a complete myth and if you don't want wrinkles anytime soon, I wouldn't skip this beauty tip! I used to use Bobbi Brown's BB cream, but the MAC Beauty Balm has a better coverage and lasts throughout the day, it gives my skin a lovely glow and doesn't come off in the water. (I wear Medium Dark)

Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Treatment Lotion Mist

This Origins GinZing Mist is so soothing on the skin and was lovely to use whilst on the plane. I think it's a shame it doesn't come in travel size, as that's what these type of products are perfect for, but it really gives the skin the pick-me-up it needs.

Travel Tips

Grand Canyon

I usually book my tours when I get to the destination, but this time I used the tour operator Viator. I would seriously recommend it! As it's a Tripadvisor company it let's you compare all tours, which means you get the best value. I booked the Grand Canyon tour that stopped at Hoover Dam as well as the Grand Canyon. Take a very light jacket as it get's windy and wear comfy trainers. The whole tour takes a total of 8 hours, 4 hours there and back, and 4 hours at the destination, so don't forget snacks! ... obvz

Stratosphere

I also booked this via Viator and if you're a thrill seeker then this is a must!! The Stratosphere will give you a spectacular view, I would suggest going in the evening. There are three rides available, the ride at the top is the highest thrill ride in the world! The second ride travels 27ft off the tower edge and is unforgettable. The third ride, holds you 900ft high, spinning you 64ft away from the tower - I chickened out for this ride! I just couldn't bring myself to go on it, eeekkk.

Encore Beach Club

This was one of the best events I've ever been too, and what made it better was seeing David Guetta DJ just a couple of feet away from me. If your looking for a pool party, this venue is a must. The atmosphere was amazing and I would recommend trying to go when someone is featuring. An extra large mixer is about £45 but enough to keep you going for the day! Oh, and the food is so good, the criss-cross fries were to die for. (drooling)

Monorail

The first night we got there, we thought we would walk down the strip, 3 hours later and we only went through 3 hotels!! The strip is so long and I wouldn't recommend walking the whole strip if you are stopping at each hotel. The most easiest and cheapest way to travel is via the Monorail, it was ideal as it started at the MGM, where we were staying, and followed through the strip.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and if you have any questions, please get in touch!
