Mane 'n Tail was originally formulated for Horses! So of course, when I heard this I just had to try it. The products helped to promote fuller, stronger manes for Horses and it soon became a new found secret with consumers. I had high expectations for this product and used it for at least one month before writing a review.

Concept: Let's be honest, anything that works for beautiful Horses is something to be excited about, I think that's what I was attracted to straight away. I actually love that the packaging has this 'animal product' look to it, you can see they have kept the brand roots strong even though it's now stocked in Boots and Amazon. It even has instructions on the back on how to use the products on animals! - Haha love it.

Formula: Both products are rich in protein, which helps hair growth and to repair split ends. Both products claim to keep hair moisturized and non-drying. Keep reading to see if this was the case ...

Smell: It smelt really pleasant, not too sweet like it had been filled with fragrance but also not how you expect a product for animals to smell.

Shampoo: I found that the shampoo didn't lather as much as I would have liked it to, I sometimes had to go for seconds to make sure my hair was completely covered. Especially as my hair goes greasy after 2 days, I like to feel a really clean lather. If you follow me on Instagram you'll know that I treat my hair at least once a week with hair oils or treatments. This shampoo struggled to get the treatment out of my hair, but other than that it cleaned fine.

Conditioner: The conditioner was really nice, and in the shower it left my hair soft with no creamy residue (which some high street conditioners leave). It did help to keep my hair tangle free which is a bonus as my natural hair is quite frizzy.

Results: Overall, I liked the texture the products left on my hair. I try my best to keep my hair natural without straitening it too much, that includes allowing my hair to naturally air dry. It's prone to being really frizzy as it's kinda curly/ wavy, so the texture helped to define my curls more. Although the texture was amazing it made my hair look brittle which is not a good look! Even though the hair felt soft it didn't look healthy. If you have hair that looks dry I personally wouldn't recommend this, if you have hair where you want added texture or defined curls then this is for you!
