Calling all Models! On the 29th April, I worked with a great team from Frame Perfect Management.

Frame Perfect are a collective platform for models and creatives, who run an amazing event - The Model Workshop, facilitated by Maxine Griffiths, a catwalk and runway coach.

Maxine was full of complete energy and really took her time to work with each model on what they could improve on with their catwalk whilst the Frame Perfect team helped to build confidence and give expert tips to aspiring models.

This is where I come in ...part of the workshop was the beauty talk where I spoke to models about what the do's and don'ts are for skincare and makeup for castings.

James Read Tantour, Class Act Mascara, Leighton Denny Expert Nail Slick Tips & Miracle Mist, Urban Decay B6 Spray, Clinique City Block, L'Oreal Hydra Genius.

Here are some of my top tips:

1) Add a product in your skin care routine that includes ingredients such as or similar to Retinol. This will help to somewhat exfoliate your skin and promote cell turnover, which in turn, helps with any discolouration, ageing and keeps your skin glowing. If you want to use a product that has the same benefits but without Retinol then try the L'oréal Hydra Genius Aloe Water.

2) Wear SPF everyday, yes everyday! Now days you can get SPF in your moisturiser and even foundation, it's super important to include SPF in your daily routine to help against ageing and discolouration.

3) Use a complexion/ hydrating spray before or after makeup, this will help to set the makeup in place and keep skin calm if your skin is prone to irritation. I would recommend the Urban Decay B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Spray. It's a perfect product to keep in your bag to refresh your skin before a casting.

4) If you do use foundation or BB cream then the natural contours of your face can become flat. Contouring doesn't need to be as heavy as it can seem in YouTube videos. If you are going to wear makeup to a casting then natural makeup is ideal. For a contour that is natural but lasts long, I would recommend the James Read Tantour Sculpting Duo.

5) Seeing as most people tend to wear makeup on a daily basis, a great way to look after your skin at the same time is to use makeup that includes skin care benefits. Joan Collins Class Act Mascara includes treatment that helps your lashes to grow. I've been using it for over a month and loving the results!

6) Last but not least - Don't forget your nails! At your casting you may need to take shots which include close up of your nails, all you need is Leighton Denny Expert Nails Slick Tips, a hydrating cuticle oil with Vitamin A, E and Jojoba Oil, it changes the look of your nails in seconds!

Now your skin is catwalk ready!

Lots of love,

Natasha xx
