I have been a fan of Rihanna from day 1! I love her music, fashion and attitude.
When I found out she launched a beauty range I was so excited. I had heard of the foundation selling out like hot cakes when it launched in Harvey Nichols and really wanted to purchase it, but the thought of trekking it down to central London for a colour match just wasn't on my radar, that's until you see your best friend take it out of her makeup bag when getting ready for a night out - RESULT.
My friend and I are the same skin tone, so this was the perfect opportunity to test before I buy and see if it looks just as good when I get back home in the early hours of the morning! Just to show you how busy I was, I didn't even get a clear picture of my makeup! This love heart snap chat filter pic is all I have, I so need to step up my game with this blogging stuff haha! Sorry guys, but I promise my skin was glowing!!

CONCEPT: "Created for women of all shades." Love this concept. As an Asian woman, matching a foundation to my skin undertone can at times be difficult, so seeing Rihanna used this as a basis to creating 40 foundation shades really attracted me to her beauty brand.
COVERAGE: A full coverage foundation that is build-able. It covered any pigmentation marks really well. One pump is enough for daily wear but I would recommend two pumps for complete coverage.
WEAR: I can't fault this foundation on the wear, I did use a primer first and set with powder, but I still feel like it would last just as well without, as the foundation sets fairly quickly it sits amazingly on the skin.
FORMULA: A liquid foundation that feels super smooth when blending it into the skin. It does set fairly quickly, but I used it with a dry buffing brush, it's recommended to use a damp beauty sponge. The only thing I would say, is the colour of the foundation looks lighter in the bottle, but it did match my skin tone when set. (something to keep in mind when purchasing)
FINISH: The foundation dries soft matte which I really liked! I still can;t make up my mind if I like a matte finish or dewy, so it's a nice comprise. I did set the foundation with Mac Studio Fix powder for complete full coverage but I actually don't think I needed to, unless you have oily skin, then I would recommend a setting powder.
I tried Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear foundation in number 310. I am a NC42 in MAC.
Have you tried it? Let me know!
Lots of love,
